The prostate secretes ejaculatory fluid, which transports sperm. scrotum: The external body sac that contains the testicles, epididymis and the start of the spermatic cords. semen: The mixture of fluid and sperm ejaculated through the penis at the moment of male orgasm. sperm: The male sex cell, or gamete, produced by the testicles. spermatic cord: A complex structure that passes through the inguinal canal to connect with the testicles. The spermatic cord includes the vas deferens, blood vessels, nerves and lymph vessels. spermatocele: The medical name for testicular cysts. spermatozoa: Another term for the male gamete, or sperm. syphilis: A sexually transmitted disease that can cause inflammation of the testicles, amongst other symptoms.
